·  This week, the Iraq Study Group unveiled its report on Iraq, including a section devoted to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.   The report has been met by responses from leaders all over the world.  Olmert, in particular, rejected the recommendations, which involved direct talks with Syria.

·  The truce between Israel and Palestinian militants has more or less held for the past week, with prisoner swap negotiations apparently progressing.  Analysts warn that the truce may lead nowhere and urge Olmert to take advantage. 

·  This week, the Mossawa Center, an Arab advocacy center, and Nazareth’s Higher Arab Monitoring Committee released documents on the status and future of Arab citizens of Israel.  Read some interesting commentary on the issue by Uzi Benziman, Avirama Golan, and Tommy Lapid
